The Original Felt Forms
There are Brand New Designs at HookedOnFelt.com!When one of our customers (Winterhaven Fiber Farm) asked if we could make some changes to our product, we listened. The change is one we hope that you will enjoy and find extremely helpful to your hat making. Now, all of our hats can be ordered by size only, no longer in tall or short. How can we do this? Each hat is now cut short, but the “tall” part of the hat is also sold with it. If you want to create a taller hat, simply take one felting needle and attach the “tall” portion to the base of the hat. It makes it so simple, so easy and saves on space for storing your forms. We hope that you like the change and that it will save you a lot of money not having to purchase a short and a tall form.
Along with the new design in our Needle Felt Hat forms comes our new Needle to Wet felting form. This form is designed for the needle felter/hat maker who is interested in going beyond needle felting with the hat forms. The much larger form allows for wet felting to occur after the needle felting is completed. Once the wet felting is completed then one is able to create unique folds and turns into the finished felt. This is the form I use
the most. It is for using super soft fibers only. I use exclusively Merino, Merino Silk, Merino Tencel, Cormo, or Icelandic fiber with this form, but don’t be afraid to try your own fibers. The results using merino can be seen on page 2 in my hat gallery page. This form also works very well for felt vessel or felt bag making using many different fibers. Let the fun begin!
